This is what heard a while back. It is sad that a lot of the places I once bought from are closing. Times have gotten hard for a lot of people. We have to face it, things are a changing! For the better and for the worse.

Dane - I believe you are right. I recently went to one in Tampa, Florida, and it was pretty slow in there. I remember going to the big one on 48th Street in New York years ago. Something really exciting about that. On a related note, there used to be a big music chain called "Mars Music" that went out of business. They had a big store in Nashville and I remember going to one in Austin, Texas. They reminded me of GuitarCenter - lots and lots of stuff in there! The one in Nashville near Rivergate Mall is now closed.
They even sold the fixtures and memorabilia out of the store. I had some colleagues tell me about some of the celebrity-signed photos they sold.
Some of the former employees are trying to start a new online business selling used gear. I wish them luck in this crowded market.
