I'm always struck by American things. In addition to all the slack-jawed wonder when travelling around, it engenders a different outlook on life compared to this crowded insular island. Australians have a similar approach. You can see it in the people with whom you interact. I know there are downsides too, but I've always loved my visits, whether for work or leisure.
