yep! Seems we get to that point where the neck has to go on.
Until the neck and body is joined, it like having a lock without a key. You have a lock but can't use it until you have the key. In our case you really can't do anything else until that neck and body come together. At least that is were I am at on my build. LOL! EB
I too like the color of this build Dane! I wish I could go back to spraying my finish on. I was thinking of trying the 2X stuff. But it's getting up to something $30.00 a can. And I still don't have a place to spray it. OH well...

Every finish I've tried other than instrument lacquer has made lacquer seem inexpensive. Different types of 2Ks and more recently water borne and even solar cure. All very expensive, Makes 30 bucks a can sound like a good deal.

From antares; The Green Manalishi (with the two pronged crown) ;<D
The name needs to reflect the guitar not the color cause I'm going to build another. Kind of a model or style name. Something catchy like Les Paul Jr. but of course that's been taken and Gibson is so touchy about things these days.
Thanks Steve, I'm liking the color a lot myself. It started out much more muted and it worked really well with the tortoise PG. Now I'm not so sure.

Not at all, but Yamaha have put out some way cool guitars in that colour, and it sure is a great colour to keep in mind for any impending build that might pop up ...
The suggestion was "Manalishi", I was just giving it context from the song title Dane. Peter G. would probably approve.

Sorry Steve I didn't get the song reference. I'll look it up. Thanks for your input, always appreciated. That sounds like my stock YT response but I do really mean it.

You guys trying to talk me into another green guitar? There seems to be a lot of makers doing a guitar series. You can do each one with different pickups in them. LOL!

I bought two identical hummer sets from John. I think the lam neck is the same as well. So except for the color the should be exactly the same.

Envy. John's pickups can only sweeten the deal Dane. e&oe ...I feel very fortunate to have meet John here on this forum. He builds great pickups and is a peach to work with. He is making a set of special P-90s for my GGBO2021 bass and will also be doing the custom Strat pups for the commission build.

EB At what point is there just too much to watch? Interesting point - 58 years ago tonight the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan...and nearly everybody in the US watched it! May have had something to do with only three or four channels on the television! John

I remember seeing that but I had to be very young. About 6 years old.
John, "57 channels and nothings on" don't remember who sang that. I just looked it up, thought it might be and it was Springsteen.
