All --
Just heard the news that Eddie Van Halen passed away today at the age of 65. He was my all time favorite guitarist, and I spent countless hours trying to learn how to do what he did on guitar.
I was lucky enough to see him live a number of times, and he leaves a great musical legacy.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Van Halen.
John

It's terrible John. I'm watching Rick Beato talking about him right now. Shocking. RIP Fella.

I knew he was a cancer survivor from many years ago but I had no idea he was battling it again, assuming that was the cause. The guy was so absolutely full of life and enthusiasm. That is common amongst survivors, I write from extremely close experience there. As I said- rest in peace EVH.

I had heard a couple of months ago he was sick and in the hospital. But I didn't know why he was there. He did die of cancer according to something I read on line.
He will be missed. He was just a year younger then me.
Eddie
