Hey all. Well, we survived Hurricane Sally. We got hit pretty hard here in Alabama. Lot of people got damage to their homes and cars. Trees and electric poles are down everywhere. Looks like a war zone. We got our power back on yesterday. We are now back home. We were staying with my brother because he has a generator. He is still on the generator for now. Where he lives was hit pretty hard. Lot of retired people live in where he's at. People are trying to help out the best they can.
So now we need to go find food, because we had to through away a lot of food after the power went out. But it so nice to home.
There are crews out all over the place. Most of the food stores are now open. They have been back up and running for like a day now. Gas stations for the last 3 days have had cars lined up for miles. Reminded me of back in the 70s when we has a gas shortage. LOL!
I ate my first MRE yesterday. Hum... They are OK, I really feel for our military in a big way now! HA!
So I hope in a few more days things will settle down some. Between the virus, riots, political stuff, and now this hurricane, and we now have some other storms due to come our way, I am convinced that the whole Planet has gone nuts!

You guys sure are tough. We get a bit of wind here and all manner of infrastructure curls up its toes! I have a friend that lives a few miles to the north and slightly to the west of NOLA (Picayune) and I understand that he and his wife were spared the worst excesses, although looking at the map it was a flippin' close run. Good to hear you're safe and well Eddie.

Glad you made it and you are safe, Eddie....they are scary.
We used to live down there and I was in Pensacola and Destin last fall playing some gigs. Love the area.

Thanks!
We are close to Orange Beach. At one time we lived in Fort Walton beach. But all the beaches here are nice. Clear waters lot to see and do if you like the water.
It was pretty scary. Winds from 105 to 150 miles an hour and the storm it self only moving like 5 miles an hour. So it caused a lot of damage. I am so glad that people were safe. I have not heard of anyone loosing their lives in this one.
The winds are so strong that they snap trees in half. Big trees that is. I seen one car that had been totally blown apart. The fenders, hood and doors and the wind shield was blown off of the car. I had never seen anything like that before!
We now have another storm coming our way, with winds around 60 to 70 miles an hour. And a lot more rain. This last storm brought over 20" of rain with it. And that was in less than 2 hours. AZ doesn't see that kind of rain fall in a years time even with the monsoons.
Our landlord was over last night, and is going to fix the damage, but said it will take some time. He has 12 property's and all of them have severe damage. Up into the 100s of thousands of dollars.
Hey Dane, may be a good time to come out this way. People are looking for people that can use your skills... LOL!
Wish I was young again and still had my tree service business. I would be making a lot of money right now, clearing tress.
The thing I hate about times like this is people that come in and try to take advantage of people. One guy was trying to get $10,000 a tree. WOW!!!
But any way, we have our electric on and WIFI is working. And the biggest thing is, we are safe.
Thanks again all for your support! EB
