Awesome! The parts came in! 3 days late (USPS) but they did come in. Looks like someone stepped on the package or drove over it. But everything looks to be ok. But I will see. I'll be testing the parts before putting them in the amp. EB

OK so it has begins, There are two white restorers in these amp, the Deville and the Deluxe. Fender mount's them right on the board. If left there they will burn the broad and some of the components around them. So they must be dealt with.
So in the kit they give you 2 new ones. You have remove the old ones, and then put in the new ones and keep them off the board. Sound easy?
It is if the board is not burned. But once the board has been over heated, you can run into problems. Yep... The solder spot not only came off but some of the trace as well. So you have no choice but to scrap back to good spot on the trace and solder a jumper wire in. Not so easy anymore. LOL! So that is what I a did. I tested it with my meter and everything looks to be good. I'll find out in about a week or so. LOL! EB

Making some progress. I'll have some more pictures soon. One of the filter caps that were sent was bad. So I have to wait on a replacement. So it will be yet another week to get this amp up and going. That's if there are delays on the post office part... EB

Eddie - What speaker are you going to install? John John, I installed a Eminence "Swamp Thing" 12' 8 ohm. It sounds pretty good and should start to sound better as it brakes in. I bought it off eBay through a dealer. I also changed the knobs on it to cream colored to give it more of the old vintage look. I am thinking about lacquering the cab,to give even more of a vintage look. I plan on keeping this amp. Side note. This amp has a fixed bias on it. I may at some point change it to an adjustable bias. Bit for now it is sounding pretty good. EB

If those resistors are getting that hot, maybe you could consider some type of little heatsink(s)? You can get some neat little self adhesive heatsinks for the Raspberry Pi nano computer on eBay.

I have wondered if anyone has tried that or not. Hum... But yes they get hot! Look on You Tube, at some of the videos on these amps. The Deville, Deluxe, and so on all have the same problem. EB
