Hey all, I have not been feeling good at all, for the past 4 weeks now. I am board out of head. So I told the wife the other day I was going out to my shop. My shop is an old Hot Dog stand. It is an 8X12 building, that use to be set up to sell Hot Dogs. It has dry wall, two windows, a door, (LOL!) and a small air-conditioner in it. So when I first got it the Hot dog stand, I pretty much just put my wood working tools in and dealt with it. So even though I was not feeling too good, I made myself do some rearranging in hope things will be better. I still cant use my table saw, but it comes in handy as an expensive work bench. the shed even came with it wired up with a lot of plug in's. But I had to wire in a pig tail so I can use the plug in's. So I did that today. Now I have only one extension cord, and that is the one that feeds the shed that comes form the house. If this was my house I would wire the shed up to the electric box. I have been using extension cords all along, so I hope there is no problem for power. I figured since I'm the only one out there, It will be OK, since I only use one tool at a time. the only one that might give some guff would be the thickness sander. It hads two motors on it and along with the vacuum, it doe put a big draw on the electric. so now that I have the shop almost the way I want it. Maybe I can get back on my projects and get something done! I said this in another thread... Because the shop was once a Hot Dog stand, my wife likes to tell people that I'm in the "Dog House" HA! HA! I love my wife! EB

It's nice to have dedicated space for tools, shop, even in small amounts. You may have problems with power when you run the ac.

It's nice to have dedicated space for tools, shop, even in small amounts. You may have problems with power when you run the ac. Most of the time I don't run the ac when using the bigger power tools. It works fine when I use the band saw, and other smaller tools. But it will not work with the thickness sander on. Or even the thickness planer as far as that goes. But a lot of times when I use them, I like to open the windows and door. Even with the vac hooked up it get pretty dusty, in a small environment. But it is a good place for me to go to when I want to shut out the world, and do my thing in making guitars or working on them. I don't have a TV out there nor do I use the internet out there. I do have a radio but I don't even have it on most of time. I like the quite. There are times it gets noisy, but not for too long of a time. for me it's a time to connect to my passion (well at least one of them) I have no one telling me what or how to do things. It's just me and the guitars. Not like when playing music... People are always making or giving you advice or telling you your too loud! Or too many people at the same time, all trying to get their idea across. Don't get me wrong I love to play music. But I so love to be by myself in my "Dog House" LOL! EB
