The block 4" wide and the thickness will come to 1 3/8. It's about 1 7/8" right now.
Steve I received the info exactly as it's given. In the spirit of sharing personal experiences and or personal preferences. I'm always glad to hear what everyone has to share on a topic.

FORWARD FROM: ALL TEAK GUITAR, in regards to watching the Great Guitar Build Off 2021 videos.
So here's a handful of builders that I enjoy watching. In no particular order. Cept for the first one or two.
4TH AVE. GUITARS
THE SHED OF DREAMS
SHOCK THE FOX
BEN AT CRIMSON, I recently started watching him again. There was period that I had had enough but I'm enjoying his build lately.
BONEHEAD GUITARS
I watch a lot more GGBO guys than this but these are ones that know what they are doing for the most part. I'm sure I will add some to the list as I remember them. There must be more than 5 people in a field of hundreds that I deem worthy.
There are folks doing carving and animals and odd shapes, those types of guitars don't speak to me. So not that interested in following the progress.

Plus some others. It's funny, I was just saying to my wife that I don't understand why people would want to do this kind of thing if they had never done it before. WOW! Some of the guys should not be using saws of any kind! WOW! Well, it looks like they will have to come up with another category for first time builders. I also think they need to have one for CNC builders.
I agree about the odd builds going on. So many of them I wont watch. The "guitars" that some are making are just to odd for me. That one that is made of strips of metal looks like it would hurt to play it. But to each their own. Maybe they need another category for odd guitars. LOL! EB

OK... Been going on about videos. I have had a lot of problems in getting my videos onto my computer. So I think I found a way to do that. I bought a program that is downloaded on my phone and my computer. So far I was able to transfer 4 videos in less than 3 min. WOW! Now I have them on my computer. But the thing that made me mad was... After I downloaded the program I was then informed I had to buy and extension, so that the videos could be seen! What the heck! It was only .99c but they cant make it part of the program? WOW!
So it took me all day messing around trying to MS 10 to do what it was supposed to do for free. But, I got fed up with and had to do something else. It only cost me like $6.00 for the program/app so it was worth it. That is for a life time. But I'll see how it works out. I do have a lot of videos to do.
Now, I can see if the MS video editing is worth messing with or not.

"Lifetime" is usually subjective with obfuscated "gotchas". This woeful Android Proboards app is a classic example. They happily take your cash and then down the road when income stream dries up, they "upgrade" the app for newer Android versions and your hardware ceases to play ball properly and they could care less. If that approach fails, they decide it's time to impose a subscription service (as in the Proboards Android app's replacement "Tapatalk". That's just one example although of course pertinent. The worst is that you swallow the automatic "update", realise it's not for you and the companies won't let you downgrade.
S'life I S'pose.

I am hoping that it will do me for a little while. I have to pay for a few tests that the doctor wants me to have.
Once I get through that then I’ll be upgrading some things like my phone and or computer.
They thing I got was not expensive and I feel I got my money’s worth by getting 4 of my videos transferred to my computer in less than 3 minutes. I tried everything on my windows 10 laptop and did everything to my phone. But for what ever reason…
But, both MS and my phone had updated and now I can’t get them play fair. This one reason I don’t like MS. Every time they do an update they seem to think they can change the way you have your computer set up and the apps and programs stop working the way they did. Oh well I’ll keep plugging away. EB

Despite it's a "rabbit trail", I'm going to resist the temptation to expand upon Eddie's Redmond Woes. Everyone exhale slowly now!

After my dell laptop failed I upgraded to MacBook. which money wise a whole nother ball game. Then I found out there is no usb "a" slot or or flash card or micro flash card slot. All they have are sub "c" slots so I had to buy adaptor to plug things in. I also went back to iMovie, which I had used briefly with another Mac, for my video editing.

My life should slow down a bit now. I have finished the ES-335 bass build and am now editing the video. I leave for vacation at my daughters house next week, my house will not be vacant. I'll be installing new cabinets while I'm there.
I don't think the voting starts until July for the GGBO2021 but I would appreciate any votes you can throw my way. Just go to the website and hit the vote tab. I'm very pleased with the results and a very good bass player friend of mine did the demo for me. I will have the video up this week at some point, soon I hope.

OK, I did some messing around on my Linux laptop. Lo and behold they have everything for reading an iPhone and they have software for editing all for free! Should have tried that first. But now I have both of my laptops reading my phone with no problems.
Now I have to learn how to edit. I have done a little bit years ago. Way back when I was going to start a You Tube channel. Back in the early days of YT. When there was hardly anything going on in YT Land. Things were easier back then.
Dane, I'll go and vote on your video. EB

Well, I got my tripod for my iPhone! Looks like it's going to work out just fine! I can't wait to make a video with it.
Right now (as of yesterday) I decided to redo my guitar room some. So it's all a part while waiting on a new work bench to come in that I ordered. So at this time I have no room in my room to make a video. LOL!
So it will be a few days before I can do another one. Maybe that's a good thing!

Thanks Eddie, I appreciate you voting.
The editing gets easier as you learn more stuff and shorts cuts. But I've already spent about 6 hours on my final GGBO video and I got to try and finish it tonight. Gets to be a grind.

You will never guess what I found!
The guy I did the trade with on the amp, is also a wood worker. He has a really nice shop! His shop is almost as big as our condo. WOW!
Well any way, he told me where he gets his hard woods from. It's almost an hour away. The wife found them on line and WOW! I think they have everything you can think of as far as wood goes. I was looking at the some of the prices and they seem super fair in the prices. So, I have some tests coming up that I need to have done. So after that, my wife is going to take me there. I am so excited. It's almost like how I felt wanting to go to Disneyland.
I hope to come home with some cool woods.

Hope that works out. It's really nice to have a good wood supplier. Anyone that calls it guitar wood is out for blood.

It's like when people use "vintage" when selling guitars or amps. Or the word "rare" Then you have the ones that put the two words together. "For sale! Rare Vintage" Yep! I hope it works out too. Guess I'll store the wood in my guitar room. I have no other place to put it. But, that may be a good thing. LOL! Keep out of the humid air outside.
