I have an Epiphone SG and some of the frets have come loose at the edge of the neck beneath the wound strings. Not much, just enough to slide a piece of paper under. Enough to cause fret buzz. Can these be glued back down without pulling the frets? What kind of glue? Thanks, Terry

Yes they can be glued without removal. This is one of the places that water thin CA really shines. I use a radius caul to hold the frets in place(clamp the caul down to the neck). If you don't have a radius caul or one with the correct rad. you can clamp the frets individually with a small one hand clamp. Just don't over clamp and cause frets on either side to become high frets. Then turn the guitar on edge and apply a small amount of CA to the fret end to wick into the slot. Problem solved, really is that simple.

Thanks for that Dane. I tried the CA fix on a Roger Giffin "T" type neck but I didn't have the sense to wick it in from the end and it just popped up again. It's obvious once you know. I'll have another go.

Only problem you might have is if there is just so much grunge in the slot. But it's always worked for me, maybe even glueing all the crap together will tighten the slot up.

Cool. I'll find some water thin CA and give it a try. Thank you, Terry

It's available at Stew Mac, some hobby stores carry Zap brand and I've been using Titebond brand and it's good stuff and should be available at hardware stores.

You might also try R/C model shops. Most I've tried carry good quality CA glues and accelerators.

I get mine off of eBay. You can get a lot more for your money and with free shipping. That is my one complaint with Stew Mac is that they charge shipping on everything. But if all you need is a little then I would try hobby shops and hardware stores. Do not use regular supper glue. I have tried some of the "supper glues" and they to are not worth the money, I don't see how they can call it supper glue.
I use CA glue on all my fret jobs. Even when building a custom neck or guitar. I glue in all my frets. To me it saves a lot of hassle.
I have also used Titebond 3 when gluing in frets. seems to work really good for me.
