Been absent from the interwebs. Busy on this. Figured I should show off some build! The design is SG based of course. Paint is fresh. It's a satin poly. No tints.

I like this wood. Little too fancy for my taste though, haha! Attachments:

Chris...that is awesome! That looks great...where in the world did you get that wood?
Great work, as always...thanks for sharing with us.

The wood is rosewood burl. The neck is straight grain rosewood. It came from Chris Ramsey Knot Head. Don't think he has a website but he can be googled. That's who I'm building this for. I suggested lamanated, but he wanted it solid! That's the biggest piece of rosewood I've seen. He made a couple wood hats for the former president George W Bush. He lives down the road from me.

Hey Hoz, I posted 2 picture of that old Kay I just sold. That is some cool looking wood on that guitar your building. got any left overs? EB I do have enough wood to build another guitar, which is on the way. I was building twins, but had to focus on one to be able to make the deadline. I just finished this guitar today after a 24 hour long no sleep marathon of guitar building/thrashing! I just got up from a long nap. I was setting it up as the new owner came by to get it! I played him a Stooges song on it. I'll post some pics soon. I even got my wife to help sand plastic on this one. She made me hot chocolate w/ marshmallows too. I think that alone help propel me on recklessly into the night. Only 3 p90 coils, and my brain suffered. -Chris

I've been meaning to update this project with a couple pics. Even though I don't have pictures with the knobs or the pickguard. I was tired! It's in Michigan. The owner loves it and won't let anybody else play it.

Nicely done hoz. Did you say what kind of P90s those where? Not a snob but curious just the same.
