Just been working on fitting the neck at the right angle to get string hight back where it should be. No pics, it's just holding the neck in place and sandpaper under it to fine tune the heel body joint.

Dane - is this guitar for a customer? I'm guessing "sentimental value" trumps economics on this one...lol. Looks like a great project...look forward to the final product!

Yes that's right John, this guy has owned this guitar since it was new and the money is not an issue for him. He just wants to be able to play it again.

Just dabbing poly on the neck joint before and after work everyday. Takes a long time to build up layers to match the ridiculously thick original finish. Although it's much less likely to sand through when blending it al together.

Neat Dane, such lovely handiwork. I have a 1980 six string Tak. I know that 6 strings is a whole other story, but I routinely leave all three of my acoustics in CGCGCD, only tuning up as needed and I've obviously never had any lifting bridge problems. Just as well because I couldn't do what you've done with that one.

Thanks guys, that C tuning, Antares, looks like all the strings are lower but the C where the B would be. Seems like that would be really good for less string tension.
I tuned the 12 string to D and that makes it play a lot easier than if it were tuned to E.
When the owner saw it this morning I thought he might cry. He was very happy to see and hear the result. It felt amazing to see him so moved.
Latestrummer, don't know how well it played new but the neck and string hight couldn't be more perfect.
